I am one of the key opinion leaders in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Malaysia. My special areas of interest include diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, and obesity. At the Ministry of Health Malaysia, my main roles include policy and program development, and strategic implementation of interventions for the prevention and control of NCDs.
In addition, I have a special interest in leveraging digital health in catalysing behavioural modification to reduce the exposure of at-risk populations to NCD risk factors. I combine my high- level experiences in the government with the active engagement of civil society and multilateral institutions at national, regional, and international levels.
